In 1967, William "Bill" Sharp founded and instructed the Basic Ad Course, an American Association of Advertising Agencies–sponsored program that prepared minorities for professional careers in advertising. Sharp wrote and published a book entitled, How to Be Black and Get a Job in the Advertising Business Anyway.

45 years later, the Marcus Graham Project and The Sharp Family, brought this agency primer back to life with this interactive version .

100% of the proceeds of the purchase of this app benefit the Bill Sharp Award, a scholarship created by J. Walter Thompson North America and the Marcus Graham Project to recognize upcoming leaders in the advertising and marketing business.
